1/9th Scale Bust: 1st Rhode Island Regiment 1776 TFB/002
The 1st Rhode Island Regiment was a regiment in the Continental Army raised in Rhode Island during the American Revolutionary War. It was one of the few units in the Continental Army to serve through the entire war, from the siege of Boston to the disbanding of the Continental Army on November 3, 1783. This Bust represents the Black Africans who fought in that war.

The regiment arrived in New York in August 1776 & fought in the battle of Long Island where they suffered no casualties. They went on to fight at the battle of White Plains in October 1776 & then at Trenton in December 1776.
